HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford Police have arrested the suspect of a domestic stabbing incident that nearly killed a 68-year-old man.
Patrol officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds on August 12 just after 3 p.m. at George's Tire on 41 Hillside Avenue.
With life-threatening wounds to the neck and head, the victim was transported to Hartford Hospital for emergency surgery and treatment, police said.
Investigators located a suspect vehicle on Zion Street with blood-like substance both inside and outside the vehicle.
During the investigation, detectives said it was determined that the incident was domestic-related. According to officials, the suspect had stabbed his mother's boyfriend over an argument of three beers.
On Thursday, police arrested Shawn Boulier, 39, of Somers on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder and assault.
Boulier was booked on a $850,000 judge-set-bond, police said.
Police said the victim is recovering from his injuries.
