
KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The "Redmen" are back in Killingly. The town's Board of Education has voted reinstate the "Redmen" mascot at Killingly High School.It's an issue that's divided the town.The mascot was scrapped last year after many students and teachers condemned it as offensive to Native Americans. However, supporters insist it honors them, and the town's history.The board has also endorsed redesigning the mascot. Last month, the board removed the "Redhawks" mascot, which a prevsious board approved as the school's new mascot.
