MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Middlesex Health has put a limit on who can visit or accompany patients at its facilities amid an increase in flu prevalence.
In an official release Wednesday, the health system says only immediate family members or a designated support person may visit or accompany patients.
There can be no more than two visitors at a time per patient.
Anyone who visits or accompanies a patient at a Middlesex Health facility must clean their hands and wear a mask to ensure the safety of others.
Anyone with flu-like symptoms should not visit or accompany patients.
The hospital says limiting the number of visitors per patients is in the best interest of patients, staff, and other guests.
