NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC RADIO) - New Haven firefighters were busy Christmas morning responding to three fires.

Fire Marshall Frank Filardo says the fires happened almost simultaneously.

Filardo says a two-alarm blaze has been extinguished at a vacant house on Chapel Street that was once the home of Yale football legend Walter Camp. The cause is under investigation.

He says firefighters also attended to a warehouse fire on Wheeler Street. He says that fire started in a furnace.

The occupants of an apartment on Garden Street were displaced after a fire broke out early Christmas morning. The cause is under investigation.

Filardo says in all three instances no one was injured, and he praised firefighters for quickly putting out the flames.
