
Vernon, Ct. - WTIC 1080 News - Vernon Police are releasing the identities of the parties involved in the fatal motor vehicle crash on Friday August 30, 2019 on West Street near Regan Road.At approximately 6:08 pm, Vernon Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to a 3 car crash on West Street at Regan Road. Officers found a Hyundai Elantra sedan operated by Munira Qureshi, age 31, of Amherst, MA had collided with a Chevy Sedan operated by Randall Berube, age 61, of Ellington, CT. Qureshi was transported to Rockville Hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead. Berube was brought to Hartford Hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A third vehicle, a Subaru Sedan operated by Kevin Zorda, age 49, of Enfield, CT, was also involved in the crash. Zorda sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.The crash remains under investigation by Vernon Police Accident Reconstructionists. No charges have been filed. Vernon Police are receiving assistance from Metro Traffic Services Traffic Reconstruction Team. Anyone with information is asked to contact Vernon Police.
