Update 2/6/22: Manchester police identify the victim as Jennifer Nicolas, 15, of Hartford. The driver, a Manchester man, is cooperating with the investigation.
MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Manchester Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a 15-year-old female pedestrian.
Investigators say the accident happened around 5:37 p.m. Wednesday.
A 15-year-old girl, walking in the area of Hilliard Street and New State Road, was struck by a car. She had life-threatening injuries at the scene.
The girl died at Connecticut Children's Medical Center on Friday.
An 81-year-old man was driving the car that struck the girl.
Further investigation into this incident is ongoing and is expected to take a lengthy amount of time to complete.
