West Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Two people are facing charges in West Haven after an incident last week.
It started around 2:30 a.m. April 11 when police attempted to pull over a vehicle for misuse of plates while patrol on Elm Street.
The driver took off, police say, driving recklessly into oncoming traffic, forcing officers to break off the pursuit.
The vehicle was later spotted near Interstate 95.
One suspect, Luis Eduardo Narzio, 23, of Bridgeport, is accused of ditching a loaded Glock .40 caliber handgun while fleeing on foot.
He's facing a number of firearms charges.
In addition the driver of the vehicle, Keilonda Johnson, 27, of Bridgeport, is charged with motor vehicle and reckless driving offenses.
