HAMDEN, CONN.(WTIC Radio)-Advance CT, the non-profit that works to attract and retain business to Connecticut has named two new Co-Chairs, Quinnipiac University President Judy Olian and Amphenol CEO Richard Norwitt.
Amphenol, located in Wallingford, is a major producer of electronic and fiber optic connectors and coaxial cables.
Olian, President of Quinnipiac since 2018, said Connecticut represents the economy of the future in health, biotech and advanced technology.
Norwitt said the strength of Advance CT is the ability of all stakeholders to make the state a place where businesses can thrive.
Governor Ned Lamont said it's crucial for businesses and the universities to have a close relationship.
The announcement came at Quinnipiac University's North Haven campus.
