An arrest has been made in a Sunday night shooting in East Hartford.
Police say James Tate, 33, turned himself in after allegedly getting into a fight with a man at 467 Silver Lane around 9:50 P.M.
Authorities say the West Hartford suspect shot the victim in the chest, and then fled by motor vehicle.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and is listed in stable condition.
Tate is being charged with first degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit, and illegal discharge of a firearm.
He's being held on a $250,000 bond.
Police say it was an isolated occurrence, and are looking for anyone who may be a witness.
