New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - One suspect is in custody and a second is being sought in connection with a shooting at New Haven's Union Station earlier this month.

MTA police say Dayron Sanchez, 19, of Derby, faces assault and other charges in connection with the July 5th incident that left a man wounded.

MTA Police Chief of Operations Thomas Taffe said detectives obtained high definition images of Sanchez from security cameras that tracked his movements before the shooting.

Taffe said the public offered tips that aided in their arrest of Sanchez.

The chief said the victim has been released from the hospital.

Investigators say all three men knew one another and they're treating the crime as a targeted incident.

New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker said the shooting was an anomaly and that Union Station is safe.
