Stuck in Sudan: The immediate family of Bridgeport City Councilwoman Samia Suliman.

She's here, and has been in spotty contact her husband and two sons, who are sheltering in place in different parts of Khartoum.

They flew there to visit a sick relative. Then, the city became a battlefield.

A big worry now for Suliman: her sons are near the presidential palace -- a target of paramilitary forces.

Making a run for it is no option, she says, quoted by The Connecticut Post. From what Suliman hears, you can not even step outside because there are so many missile strikes.

Suliman has reached out to Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal, and he is trying to help.
