Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - The chairman of the Connecticut Board of Regents has resigned.
Marty Guay's departure comes on the heels of former interim Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system chancellor John Maduko's resignation, and criticism Guay received about the handling of complaints of sexual harassment within the system.
Guay says he's leaving for a year-long fellowship at Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative.
Maduko was placed on administrative leave April 23.
He resigned a day later when it was reported he was the subject of a sexual harassment investigation.
A female employee has accused Maduko of sending inappropriate emails and texts, and making crude comments about her body.
Governor Lamont, in accepting Guay's resignation, said the investigation into Maduko will move forward.
Regents General Counsel Karen Buffkin was installed as interim CSCU chancellor upon Maduko's departure.
