CT man in 60s accused of fathering child with 13-year-old girl

A 63-year-old Bristol, Connecticut, man is charged with assaulting a girl in his care on an almost daily basis for a period of over a decade.
Roger Barriault was arrested on one count of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
However, the arrest warrant affidavit quotes the victim as charging that Barriault sexually assaulted her as many as 4,000 times between 2004 and 2015.
The victim, who is now in her 20s, told police that Barriault had guardianship over her and another child living in his home during that period.
Initially, Barriault was held on a bond of $500,000, until that was reduced to $200,000 by a New Britain Superior Court judge. Barriault posted the bond and is now free.
