Fairfield police are investigating politically charged incidents of vandalism.
Police say that, on Wednesday, a Board of Education member found the words "The United States of China" spray painted on a sidewalk outside the McKinley School. The same phrase was spray painted into a snow mound in the school's parking lot. Facilities workers were already scrubbing a message that read "Biden for Socialism" on a sidewalk.
It was later reported to police other similar messages had been spray painted on the TJ Maxx building on Tunxis Hill Cutoff.
Fairfield Police are investigating.
