GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Glastonbury police arrested a 16-year-old male suspect Wednesday after a month-long investigation into attempted vehicle robberies.
On November 18, Glastonbury officers responded to a report of a group of males attempting to steal vehicles from driveways in the Woodfield Crossing neighborhood.
According to police, a resident of Woodfield Crossing had confronted the group of suspects. One of the suspects, who was driving the group's vehicle, pointed a firearm at the resident and threatened to shoot him, police said.
The group then fled in a white Honda Accord, officials said.
After police investigated for over a month, they were able to identify the 16-year-old male teen who threatened the suspect.
On Wednesday, December 23, Glastonbury police charged the 16-year-old from Hartford with Threatening, Reckless Endangerment, Possession of Weapons in a Motor Vehicle and Breach of Peace.
The suspect is being held in juvenile detention awaiting an appearance in juvenile court in Hartford, police said.
