
Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A unit within the Hartford police department was busy conducting a citywide auto theft operation on Tuesday.
Members of the Greater Hartford Police Auto Theft Task Force and North Street Crimes detail recovered six stolen motor vehicles.
Four of the vehicles were Kias and Hyundais, certain models of which were manufactured without anti-theft controls.
In addition, police made five arrests, four of whom were juveniles.
Hartford police officials are reminding residents that steering wheel locks are available at headquarters for drivers with qualified vehicles.
