HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford police have arrested a city man in connection with a fatal Christmas Day accident in December: 2020.
Police allege Joshua Jenkins, 27, of Hartford, was under the influence when he drove a Chevrolet Malibu into a Nissan Sentra near the intersection of Collins and Sigourney Streets around 3 p.m.
The driver of the Nissan, James Hippolytes, 67, of Hartford, sustained serious injuries in the collision. He died at Saint Francis Hospital.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Jenkins. He has been charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, first degree reckless endangerment, operating under the influence of alcohol, disobeyed traffic control signal, and expired registration.
Jenkins is being held on bond at the Hartford Police Department Detention Facility while he awaits a court appearance.
