
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Bridgeport Police arrest a 28-year-old city man today for violently sexually assaulting a teenage girl student who was on her way to school Tuesday morning.
Cordero Javier Greaves, 28, of Bridgeport, was taken into custody at his residence at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The School Resource Unit also assisted in the investigation.
The arrest took place without incident near where the sexual assault occurred on Railroad Ave.
Greaves was charged with first-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, illegal sexual contact with a person under 16 years of age, first-degree unlawful restraint, and second-degree threatening.
His bond was set at $750,000.
