Connecticut State Police arrest an Old Lyme man who allegedly drove recklessly through a construction zone and later told police he needed to use a bathroom.
Troopers arrested Andrew Bennett, 22, who allegedly drove 95 miles per hour in a construction zone on the Gold Star Bridge where the speed limit is 45 miles per hour.
Once pulled over, Bennett told police he needed to use a bathroom and was speeding home.
He's charged with reckless driving in a construction zone and failure to stop on the right side of the road.
Bond is $1,000.
