MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police arrest a man on drug, gun, and traffic-related charges after troopers say he allegedly fled a traffic stop in Vernon.

State police say there was an attempt to pull Dylan Scott, 27, of Manchester, over on Reservoir Road in Vernon on Friday around 10:55 a.m., but Scott fled the traffic stop and went onto South Frontage Road.

An investigation led to Scott’s vehicle found in a driveway on Moore Street in Manchester. As police closed in, Scott fled the area on foot.

He was seen throwing a gun into a trashcan as he ran. The gun, a Taurus 9mm G3-C handgun, was later found reported as stolen out of North Carolina.

State Police K9 Viper helped establish a perimeter, leading to Scott being found under a deck at a home on McKee Street.

He was taken into custody without incident at that time.

Charges against Scott include reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, stealing a firearm, and much more.

Bond is $500,000.
