Found in Sylvan Lake Park in Oakville: A brown, medium-size dog with seemingly every rib visible on his emaciated body. He was left to die says Watertown Animal Control -- stuck in a crate, in the sun, with no water and cuts and abraisons on his gaunt body.

Upset by this, the animal rights group Desmond's Army says pets are family. You don't dump your animals.


But some people do. There's also word that two guinea pigs abandoned at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden will be put up for adoption.
