An officer involved shooting in New Britain is under investigation.
Officers received information around 3 p.m. Wednesday about possible suspects involved in an earlier shots-fired incident in the Union Street area.
Police went to the Red Roof Inn to question a person, but the individual fled on foot with another person.
The foot chase went to the parking lot of 1 Herald Square, where the shooting happened.
One person was injured and hospitalized.
The State Inspector General is taking over the investigation.
