A New Britain women who told police that her car was stolen ends up getting busted herself.
The problem was not that she reported the car was stolen. Police say they checked it out and concluded that 29-year-old Pamela Rodriguez's car was indeed stolen on Farmington Avenue.
What got Rodriguez arrested was that police say she falsely claimed that her child was in the car when it got stolen.
Rodriguez is charged with making a false statement for the purpose of getting police to respond faster.
