NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The City of New Haven is attempting to break the Guinness World Records title for the world’s largest pizza party Friday afternoon.
Spearheaded by Taste of New Haven in partnership with the City of New Naven, the world record attempt will begin today at 3:30 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. at the New Haven Green in conjunction with the tenth annual A-1 Toyota Apizza Feast and the New Haven Grand Prix Twilight Cycling Race, which go until 10 p.m.
The existing pizza party record of 3,357 people was set by Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2023.
All 5-thousand tickets for the event in New Haven were sold out.
