NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - New Haven Police are investigating two shootings, including a homicide, from Monday.
Police say city resident Dennis Atkinson, 40, was found in the area of Ferry and River Streets, suffering from gunshot wounds around 4:44 a.m. Monday. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he later died from his injuries. An argument is believed to have led up to the shooting.
Later in the morning, police went to the area of Shelton Avenue, where a 31-year-old man was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital to receive treatment.
No arrests have been made in either case.
