They were both 54 years old. They had children together in New Haven. Now, both Christopher Garvin and Sheila Harris are dead following a domestic dispute over the weekend that exploded in gunfire.
Police say Garvin shot Harris and then Garvin was killed when a woman related to Harris came to defend her and opened fire. Now, Harris has died of her injuries.
Hours before she was shot, Harris told police Garvin was threatening her. Police say they responded with a safety plan that they routinely put into place for domestic violence situations.
