Vernon, Conn./WTIC Radio - Vernon police say a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night.
Officers say around 8:40 p.m., they arrived at the scene near 1270 Hartford Turnpike to find the adult male lying in the roadway.
The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, said police.
Vernon Police and Metro Traffic Services are investigating the crash.
