A man is in custody after Hartford police say he was found carrying a firearm on the property of Aetna headquarters Thursday.
Officers were called to the Farmington Avenue campus around 10:00 a.m.
They say security detained a suspicious individual, later identified by police as Denrey Wadlington, 51.
According to investigators, Wadlington entered the building with an AR-style pistol in a backpack.
Police say the suspect was detained by Aetna security within three minutes of entering.
Wadlington was take into police custody and charged with Criminal Trespass, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession of an Assault Weapon and Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.
