Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - According to a police incident report obtained by WTIC, the former city treasurer of Hartford may have gone back to her office days after announcing her retirement.
This came amid rumors Carmen Sierra returned to shred documents.
Sierra at a news conference last week denied any such allegation.
She retired abruptly last week, July 6.
Several police units including Chief James Rovella responded to Sierra's former office, the report states two days later, July 8.
That was to ensure no city property was tampered with or destroyed.
Sierra was not detained and left the building on her own accord, says the report.
There was a shredding device in a safe room near Sierra's former office.
The report states a bin was filled with shredded paper although it's not known if it was deposited there recently or was already in the bin.
A computer was also retrieved from Sierra's former office by the city's chief operating officer and retained in his locked office.
