New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - The recovery operation for a missing New Haven teenager has been suspended.
Police and first responders had been looking for King Best, 13, since last Thursday.
That's when authorities say he entered the West River in the early morning hours and did not resurface.
A family member attempted a rescue but had to be rescued themselves.
A dive team, boats, drones, and a U.S. Coast Guard chopper were used in the search.
It's still not known why King entered the river at around 4:30 a.m. July 30.
