Second body found in Stamford standoff identified

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Police identity the second body found during a standoff last Tuesday in Stamford.

After suspect Jed Parkington, 63, exchanged fire with police and ultimately killed himself during an eviction process.

Police entered the home on Oaklawn Avenue where they found a second body, locked in handcuffs and decomposed.

The body's identity went unconfirmed until it was announced Wednesday morning the remains were identified as those of Carmine Boccuzzi, 79.

Police used D.N.A. from a family member to identify Boccuzzi.

The Chief Medical Examiner rules the death a homicide from blunt impact injuries of the head and torso with gagging.

A search of the home after the shootout with Parkington turned up various explosives and Nazi paraphernalia.
