SAN ANTONIO, TX. (WTIC Radio)_ University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Shea Ralph leaves the NCAA tournament in San Antonio after one of her family members tested positive for COVID-19.
Ralph decided to return home on Wednesday out of an abundance of caution, according to the University.
The school says Ralph has tested negative for COVID-19 daily since March 9, including twice since arriving in San Antonio on Tuesday.
The Huskies are scheduled to open NCAA Tournament play on Sunday, March 21, against High Point. Game time is set for 8 p.m. ET in the Alamodome.
Associate Coach Chris Dailey is taking the place of Head Coach Geno Auriemma, who tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend and is quarantining.
