SHELTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Shelton Police arrest two parents who allegedly held an underaged party in connection with the stabbing death of a teen in town.
Shelton Police say Paul Leifer, 59, and Susanna Leifer, 51, of Shelton, allegedly held a party on May 14, 2022, with high school students during which alcohol was present.
During the investigation, Police say Susanna had interactions with some of the attendees during the party, which ended in a fight.
When the crowd dispersed, some of the attendees left and engaged in a subsequent fight in town that led to the stabbing death of James McGrath.
Raul Valle, a teen from Milford, was charged with murder in the stabbing.
Paul and Susanna Leifer are facing charges that include permitting minors to possess alcohol and second-degree reckless endangerment.
They are released on a promise to appear in Derby Superior Court on April 3, 2023.
