WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterbury Police are investigating a deadly early Friday morning shooting.
Officers responded before 3 a.m. to the area of 185 Willow Street on the report of shots fired.
When police arrived, a 17-year-old woman who lived in the city was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, whose name hasn't been released at this time, later died at a local hospital.
It's believed there was a disturbance outside in the area involving a group of individuals but the exact circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation .
