Waterbury Police arrest three suspects of graffiti, mischief at Holy Land

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Waterbury police have arrested two adults and a juvenile for a graffiti incident at Holy Land.

According to officials, on Tuesday, detectives received several tips identifying the three suspects after releasing images of them to the public.

After locating them, authorities arrested Heniel Centeno, 23, of Waterbury, Yianyilee Mejia, 21, of Waterbury, and a juvenile.

All three have been charged with first degree Criminal Mischief, third degree Criminal Trespass and first degree Conspiracy to Commit/ Criminal Mischief.

With the additional charge of third degree Intimidate Due to Bias, Centeno was held on a $75,000 bond pending arraignment.

Mejia was held on a $50,000 bond pending arraignment. The juvenile was released on a Written Promise to Appear, police said.

Around 8 p.m. on Thursday, police went to Holy Land on Slocum Street after some individuals were seen spray painting offensive words and symbols on monuments.

The individuals are photographed, below, leaving Target with spray paint.
