HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ A Texas man wanted in connection with an alleged kidnapping in New Hampshire was arrested on I-91 in Hartford on Friday.
Connecticut State Police responded to an Amber Alert out of New Hampshire for two kidnapped girls, ages 15 and 17.
Suspect Cameron Snody, 18, of Fort Worth, Texas, allegedly stole a 2006 Saturn Ion and fled with the girls to New York City, according to New Hampshire State Police.
CSP received a tip Snody was in the Hartford area and was travelling north on I-91.
State Police arrested Snody without incident near exit 23 and took him into custody.
Both girls were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Snody has been charged with third degree larceny and fugitive from justice. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Snody will be extradited back to New Hampshire to face kidnapping charges, according to CSP.
