(NEW HAVEN, CONN.)-New Haven officials have announced a directive for city employees regarding Covid 19. Officials say employees have two options: get vaccinated or be subjected to weekly testing.
The city announced the Health Department will be in charge of a portal to track compliance.
Corporation Counsel Pat King says next week the city will be meeting with various labor unions. One of the main concerns she says is discipline. King says the city is more interested in compliance, rather than discipline.
Health Director Maritza Bond says because New Haven has a high-risk transmission rate, it is important for compliance to ensure the safety of city employees and constituents.
