WOLCOTT, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Wolcott police are looking for the suspects involved in the theft of a vehicle containing two kids late Sunday at a local convenience store.
The vehicle, containing an 11-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl, was stolen from the Cumberland Farms on Meriden Road around 11:30 p.m., said police. The boy jumped out of the vehicle, but the girl remained inside.
Police launched a massive search and triggered an Amber Alert, before the stolen vehicle was found abandoned on Knollwood Drive around 1:45 Monday morning, said police. The girl was found sleeping inside the vehicle, and was reunited with her mother, said police.
