WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - It was reportedly the price of a gallon of milk that prompted a Stamford man to allegedly stab a cashier at the Waterbury Walmart Sunday.
Police tell the Republican American newspaper, 40-year-old Hichman Asfir walked around the register and grabbed a 19-year-old cashier by the hair and stabbed her in the head with a folding knife, after she scanned a jug of milk and stated how much it cost.
The cashier was reported in stable condition at Saint Mary's Hospital, said authorities.
Asfir is under arrest on a first-degree assault charge, held on $500,000 bond.
