Woman arrest over wrong-way driving, chase in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police arrest a Hartford woman in connection with a wrong-way driving and police chase incident Sunday afternoon.

State Police received numerous reports from other drivers in the area of I-84 Eastbound in Manchester near Exit 62 that a vehicle was driving erratically in the wrong direction.

State Police attempted to stop the vehicle as it drove the wrong way between the left-lane of travel and the HOV lane but stopped the pursuit due to safety concerns.

The driver, identified as Tierra Turner, 24, was later found in East Windsor.

Turner is charged with reckless driving, disobeying the signal of an officer, engaging police in a pursuit, failure to drive in the proper lane, driving the wrong-way on a divided highway, improper turns, improper parking on a highway, traffic control signals, tinted auto glass requirements, interfere with an officer, disorderly conduct, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Turner's bond is $25,000.
