GRISWOLD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Ruth Correa has pleaded guilty to three counts of felony murder for her role in a 2017 botched fake robbery in Griswold.

During an appearance in New London Superior Court on Thursday, she admitted to helping her brother, Sergio Correa, in the killings of Matthew and his parents Kenneth and Janet Lindquist on December 20, 2017.

The Correa siblings were in on a plan with Matthew Lindquist to steal his parents' guns and make it look like a robbery.

Sergio Correa has pleaded not guilty to charges in the case.

Ruth Correa is expected to testify against her brother, in an upcoming trial, in exchange for a 40-year sentence.

In previous statements to authorities, Ruth Correa explained Matthew Lindquist was killed when he became nervous and started to back away from the deal. The siblings went the house where they killed his parents, robbed the home, and set it on fire.
