(WWJ) President Joe Biden will be stopping in Michigan next week for his second campaign visit of the year.
Biden is planning on making a campaign-related appearance in Saginaw on Thursday, March 14, according to Democratic sources speaking with the Detroit News.
No details about the campaign stop were immediately released.
This will be the president's first visit since winning Michigan's primary election last month with more than 80% of the vote.
Despite the big win, concerns remain for Democrats over waning support for Biden, particularly in the state's Arab American community.
A collation of community groups continue to voice their rage over Biden's stance on the Israel-Hamas War, calling for the president to strengthen and make good on his efforts to call for a cease fire in Gaza.
Biden's first visit of the year came last month when he stopped at a UAW hall in Warren.
Meanwhile, polls continue to show Biden has some work to do on the campaign trail if he's expected to beat Donald Trump in what's expected to be a general election rematch on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that at this point Trump would beat Biden 40% to 35%.
The poll also found that despite 31% of responding voters thinking the economy is getting better, Biden is not getting credit for recent economic improvements. As things currently sit, 38% of Americans approve of Biden’s job as president, compared to 60% who disapprove.
