The New York Jets have found their pass rusher.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jets have agreed to a three-year, $45 million deal with free agent Carl Lawson.
The deal includes $30 million guaranteed and he an earn a maximum $47.4 million, per Rapoport.
The Bengals were reportedly trying to re-sign Lawson, while the Cleveland Browns were also reported to be interested in the pass rusher.
Lawson, 25, has 20 sacks in 51 career games with the Bengals over four seasons, including 8.5 in his rookie season.
The fourth-round draft pick out of Auburn is coming off a season in which he finished with a career-high 36 tackles and 32 QB hits. He had 5.5 sacks and four tackles for a loss, as well as two forced fumbles.
Lawson fills a significant need for the Jets, which had just 31 sacks and 141 QB pressures, ranking in the bottom half of the league in each category.
The addition of Lawson also helps the Jets keep pace with others in the division. Earlier on Monday, the Patriots signed former Ravens pass rusher Matthew Judon to their defense.
