Detroit Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting near West McNichols and Greenfield that happened around 1:45 Monday morning. No one yet knows what exactly happened or why.
The 22-year-old victim was able to drive to a nearby BP gas station after the shooting, where he was treated by medics.
The clerk at the station told WXYZ the victim had a gunshot wound to the face. The clerk reportedly gave him paper towel to dress the wound while he waited for an ambulance.
He is now hospitalized in serious condition.
The suspect remains at large. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
