Numerous outlets report an infant is recovering after Michigan State Police found the 6-month-old in a hotel room with the bodies of both parents, who were deceased.

It happened in Whitehall Township, near Grand Rapids.

Michigan State Police say a trooper was sent to the Rodeway Inn shortly before noon Friday for a well-being check. In a room, he found the bodies of a 26-year-old woman and 28-year-old man.

Also in the room was a 6-month-old in "dire need of medical attention," MSP said. The baby was taken to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment of dehydration, among other things.

The cause of death of the two adults is not yet known, but there was no immediate indication of foul play. People Magazine reported drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.

"The child is still listed in critical condition, but police believe the infant was alone in the room for a period of days," WZZM in Muskegon reported.

Michigan State Police identified the deceased as Jessica Bramer, 26, of Grand Rapids and Christian Reed, 28, of Marne, per WZZM. Bramer was active on Facebook until 2016, with numerous posts and comments referring to drugs used and court dates missed.

Bramer posted her status as "in a relationship" with Reed starting in 2016. One of her last posts was from 2016, where he was on her account writing, "Yall f** n***s need to back up. Jessica's taken. You ain't there visiting her like I am."
