BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) - If you ever wanted to live like the "Queen of Soul," here's your chance -- for $1.2 million.
The late Aretha Franklin's former home in Bloomfield Hills is for sale and realtors are looking for a buyer.
The two-story home was first put for sale in October 2018 at $800,000 before the listing was removed from the market in December for unknown reasons. The home was re-listed for sale on July 19 with an updated price of $1.2 million.
Built in 1990, the 4,148-square-foot brick Colonial-style home is located on a one-acre lot in the Hills of Lone Pine gated community at 4585 Kiftsgate Bend. It offers five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one partial bathroom, a gourmet kitchen, sauna, private deck, attached three car garage, plenty of windows and custom chandeliers throughout. Residents have access to the community pool and tennis courts.

Franklin was 76 and living in a riverfront apartment in downtown Detroit when she died last August from advanced pancreatic cancer.
Franklin died without a will. Her tangible assets include several pieces of property in the Detroit area that according to tax assessors' estimates are worth at least $2 million, with a market value that could easily be twice that.
