ROMULUS, Mich. (WWJ) -- Lifelong Romulus resident Todd Hammons, a 30-year quadriplegic, has loved dirt bikes his entire life. Hammons frequently rode bikes until an accident in 1989, but has continued to collect bikes over the years.

Earlier this spring, Hammons had seven dirtbikes stolen from his home and he's asking the community for help in finding answers.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Surveillance shows the robbery in progress from just before 2 a.m. until 3 a.m. on April 4 at Hammons' home on Homefield Street near Middlebelt and Northline Roads in the city of Romulus.

Authorities say the suspects rented a U-Haul truck and broke into Hammons' garage through a window they pried open. The suspects then cut the locks on the roll-up garage door and loaded the dirt bikes into the U-Haul at approximately 3 a.m. No descriptions of any suspects were given.

"We stand in support of Mr. Hammons and want the people responsible for this cruel and inconsiderate act to be brought to justice," Crime Stoppers officials said in a press release.

Those who submit tips to Crime Stoppers will remain 100% anonymous. Rewards are paid when an arrest is made -- they do not wait for a conviction.

Anyone who has any information regarding this robbery, is asked to make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or visit the Crime Stoppers website
