DETROIT (WWJ) - A woman was arrested at Detroit Metro Airport after she caused a scare in the air on a Delta Air Lines flight.
Airport officials say the plane had departed from Indianapolis Monday night when the woman tried to open the boarding door shortly after takeoff.
The woman was restrained by passengers until the airplane landed at Metro Airport around 6:45 p.m. and she was taken into custody.
Officials say it appears the woman may have been suffering from a medical issue and did not have any criminal intent.
The FBI is investigating.
