Detroit Police Need Help Identifying Suspect In Fatal Shooting Tied To Theft Of Cartier Glasses

DETROIT (WWJ)  – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in identifying and locating one male suspect and two male persons of interest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on the city's east side.

On May 25, 2019 at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the 11000 block of E. 7 Mile Road, the 18-year-old male victim was inside of the local gas station when an unknown male suspect entered the location.


As the victim was beginning to exit the location, the suspect grabbed the victim's Cartier glasses and opened fire. After the shooting, the suspect fled in a Red Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on E. 7 Mile.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

The first person of interest is described as a black male, medium brown complexion with long braids and a slim build.

The other person of interest is a black male with a dark complexion, short natural hair with a slim build.
