(WWJ) One of the latest notable metro Detroiters to test positive for the coronavirus is a hero of the Flint water crisis -- Dr. Mona Hanna-Atitsha.

She confirmed in a tweet that she has tested positive.

The good doctor is treating the subject lightly, adding a second Tweet about how the lack of taste and smell affects someone like herself ... an Arab American who loves to eat.

Throughout this pandemic, Dr. Hanna-Attisha has warned people on social media to stay vigilant against coronavirus. She did not reveal the possible source of her virus.

Hanna-Attisha is a best-selling author who was the first to reveal dangerous levels of lead in the Flint water system. She tirelessly worked to get reaction to the Flint Water Crisis and force intervention and action. She works now on the Michigan State University and Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative, a public health program in Flint.
